Over a Century of Trustworthy Service
Founded in August 1913 by 26 local Kansas farmers, The Farmers State
Bank of Blue Mound has proudly served Linn and Anderson counties for
over a century. From its humble beginnings with $10,000 in capital,
the bank grew alongside its community, even weathering three historic
bank robberies in the 20th century. After decades of stewardship by
the founders' descendants, the bank transitioned to private ownership
in 1975, fueling regional expansion with the acquisition of the Bank
of Pleasanton in 1989 and Garnett Savings and Loan in 1990. Today, the
bank remains a privately held institution, carrying forward a
dedicated, 100-year legacy of trusted local service.
